Should I ask an AI what it thinks of my company — and what do I do if the answer is wrong or it has never heard of me?

Almost no owner has run this diagnostic, and it is the cheapest one available. Open two or three different assistants and ask, plainly: what does this company do, where does it work, and who does it serve. Then ask who the good options are for your trade in your town, and see whether you appear.

Read the failures carefully, because each points somewhere specific. A confidently wrong answer means something inaccurate about you is published where it can be read — an old address, a stale directory listing, a service you dropped years ago. That is fixable at the source.

Never having heard of you is a different and more common problem: not enough independent places describe your business for an assistant to say anything with confidence. The fix is not writing more pages on your own site. It is existing, consistently, in more than one place.

Do this once a quarter and keep the answers. The change over time tells you more than any single result, and it is the only way to know whether the work you are doing is landing.
