What to Never Paste Into AI

Know exactly what's safe to share and what to keep out, so you can use AI confidently without worry.

This is the question almost every owner quietly worries about: is it safe to put my stuff into this thing? Here's the calm, honest answer — for the everyday work in this course, yes, with a few simple rules. Using AI to draft a post, reply to a review, or summarise a message is completely normal and low-risk.

The simple rule of thumb: treat the AI like a smart contractor you just met. You'd happily tell them about your business, your services, your prices, and the gist of a customer situation. You would not hand them a customer's credit card number, your banking passwords, or a stack of clients' private files. Same instinct here.

In practice

Any owner shares their own business details freely, but describes anything involving other people's private data rather than pasting it.

The rest is free too — it just needs a seat.
